No participation in consumer dispute settlement procedures

As a service and customer-oriented company, we at DEKRA always endeavor to resolve any differences of opinion arising from our contractual relationships amicably. In the event of any complaints, our customers can therefore contact the processing branch at any time or our central customer service via the hotline number 0800-3333333. If and to the extent that no agreement can be found with the customer, the way to the ordinary courts is of course open to him. These then decide within the framework of applicable law on the existence and non-existence of claims.

We are convinced that this system best meets the demands and expectations of our customers. From our point of view, there is no need for a consumer dispute settlement procedure. We even see the risk of undermining existing consumer protection rights in such a procedure due to the associated lack of transparency (no publication of decisions and no absolute binding force of mandatory consumer law). We have therefore decided not to take part in dispute settlement proceedings before consumer arbitration boards.
